Which AI start-ups will survive the boom
Expansión asks founders and investors which AI companies will outlast the boom. eVoost, led by Cristian Pastrana and Koh Onozawa from Abu Dhabi, is cited as a project that applies AI and predictive analytics to selling homes to the needs of each buyer.
Iñaki Fuentes, eVoost's chief technology officer, argues that it makes more sense to talk about companies that use AI to solve hard problems than about AI start-ups, and sees the opportunity in sectors with deep domain knowledge, fragmented data, manual processes and decisions with real economic impact: turning scattered information into executable decisions.
There is a lot of market, pricing, inventory and buyer-behaviour data. Having it does not necessarily mean knowing what to build and at what price. The opportunity is to go from having information to making better decisions with it.
